How Schizophrenia Affects You

How Schizophrenia Affects You

Schizophrenia is a psychotic disorder that can affect a person’s ability to feel, behave, and or think clearly. It is a chronic brain disorder that affects over 3.5 million Americans. It is a disorder that has many misconceptions that negatively affects those who have the condition.

The reality is that those with these disorders are consistently being discriminated against by friends, family, coworkers, the public, etc. This is a societal issue because this group is being misrepresented in popular media and is paying the price for it. Those with schizophrenia are one of the highest risk mental illness groups for suicide and self-harm.

In order to help the schizophrenic community, the public must become informed and willing to change their perception of the disorder. This website is used to inform those who were misinformed by popularized media about incorrect information on this illness.

Start changing your perception now by taking some quizzes!
